Fans queue early for The View tickets
FANS of Dundee band The View are preparing to welcome them home at a sold-out gig in the city.
Tickets for the February 13 concert at the Caird Hall went on sale at 9am yesterday.
More than 50 people queued at the box office from around 7am, with a couple of dedicated fans camping out overnight to ensure their tickets.
By mid-afternoon the concert was sold out, ensuring a crowd of 2,300 when the band return to the stage in their home city.
Lead singer Kyle Falconer, guitarist Peter Reilly and bassist Kieren Webster attended St John's RC High School in Dundee, while drummer Steven Morrison attended Harris Academy.
They initially came together around a cover band at school, before beginning to play gigs and weddings across Dundee.
Dave McGeachan, of organisers DF Concerts, said: “Once again Dundee fans have supported local boys The View and tickets sold out in a matter of hours.
“It’s a welcome return for the band. Their homecoming gigs are always phenomenal.
“This will be one of the first chances fans have to hear fantastic new material.”
