The View on XFM Award Shortlist

DUNDEE'S The View have made the shortlist for the first Xfm New Music Awards.

For the last two weeks Xfm's listeners have been voting for the band who they believe are the worthy recipients of the new award, which recognises the best UK debut album of 2007.

The View's album Hats Off To The Buskers made the top ten and will now go head-to-head at the official ceremony, which will be held in London's Koko on January 16 next year.

The judging panel includes Xfm Scotland's Jim Gellatly, with representatives from other Xfm stations around the UK and artists like Maximo Park's Paul Smith, and Nicky Wire from Manic Street Preachers.
