The View To Headline Glasgow's Hogmanay

THE View are headlining this year's Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. The Dundee rockers will be joined by Scots singer Amy Macdonald to entertain the 15,000 revellers at this year's huge New Year party.

Front man Kyle Falconer is excited about the prospect of playing such a large home crowd.
He said: "Scottish crowds are the best in the world and we have always had a fantastic time gigging in Glasgow.
"As a country, we have a reputation for bringing in the New Year with real style.
"We can't wait to party the night away with the George Square crowd."

Other bands include the Same Jeans, Face for Radio and Suspiciously Elvis, an Elvis tribute act. The party starts at 9pm on Monday, December 31 in George Square.

Clyde 1's George Bowie hosts the event and DJ Tam Coyle will be getting the celebrations started and warming up the crowd for a top night of entertainment.

Tickets for the Square bash cost £10 each and will be released at 9am on Saturday, November 10 via online, phone and in-person sales. Entry is strictly by ticket only with a maximum of four briefs per household.
Buy online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk, by phone on 08444 77 77 00, or at the Ticketmaster outlet at Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries.
