The View play packed show at Club NME: Los Angeles

The Scots make new friends across the pond
Dundee quartet The View performed a rousing set in front of a packed house at Club NME: Los Angeles on Saturday night (January 6).

The Scottish band tore through an hour-long set on the last night of their first-ever US tour, which included stops in New York and San Francisco as well as Los Angeles.

The Club NME crowd seemed surprised by the band's youthful appearance, gasping and whispering when they took the stage. The band later commented that they felt like they were missing out on some of the fun since they couldn't join in on the drinking. The legal drinking age in America is 21, and the average age of The View is 18.

LA band Monsters Are Waiting opened for The View, playing songs from their debut album, 'Fascination', as well as a cover of The Stone Roses classic 'I Wanna Be Adored'.

As previously announced, The View will release their debut LP, 'Hats Off To The Buskers', on January 22 in the UK and March 13 in the US. They'll soon return to the UK for NME's ShockWaves Indie Rock Tour 2007
